SHERIDAN (WNE) — Better Wyoming, a statewide nonprofit organization that trains people to engage in civic processes, published Grassroots Accountability Reports about the 2025 legislative session.

“The lack of clear, accessible information about what happened at the Legislature— and, in particular, how their own representatives voted — is a real problem for Wyoming and Wyoming residents,” said Nate Martin, executive director of Better Wyoming.

The 2025 Grassroots Accountability Report shows how lawmakers voted on key bills that will impact hardworking Wyomingites.

The reports are organized by county, so readers can see how their local legislators act. The Sheridan County accountability report can be found at Sheridan and Johnson Counties Accountability Report - Better Wyoming.

“Sheridan is a great community. Folks here care about their neighbors, and want what's best for their families,” said Daniel Galbreath, Better Wyoming’s Sheridan County field organizer. “Nothing could be more important than knowing what the people we send to Cheyenne do on our behalf. Do their decisions truly reflect what we need as a community?”

The nonpartisan Better Wyoming trains people to engage in the civic processes that shape their lives — including voting, talking to lawmakers, and organizing  neighbors to make sure their voices are heard on important issues like health care and public education, according to a press release. The organization focuses on civic education, collective action and leadership development to accomplish these goals. Learn more at betterwyo.org.
