America’s Sweethearts are coming to town

Watch out, Weston County, America’s Sweethearts are coming to town on Oct. 30 at 7 p.m., thanks to the Weston County Concert Association.
The all-female vocal trio, with piano accompaniment, follows in the vocal steps of the Andrews Sisters, according to information provided by Allied Concert Services. The tight-harmony ensemble plans to charm and delight the crowd with a wide range of great vintage songs and old-fashioned fun.
Since the New York-based group was formed in 2016, the ladies have toured extensively across the nation, sharing their shows with 10s of thousands of people at performing arts centers, air shows and museums, a group history states.
“Previous high-profile features include programs such as Big Time RV and The Sunny Side Up Show, as well as singing front and center with nationally-reputed big bands like The Corsair Blue Jazz Orchestra and The Fabulous Equinox Orchestra,” the history continues.
“Their colorful costumes and crystal-clear harmonies will delight audiences as they perform a wide range of repertoire from World War II, Great American Songbook favorites, classic Broadway, pop tunes from the 1950s and jazz,” Allied Concert Services said.
Those who have already purchased their membership to the Weston County Concert Association’s 2021-22 season need to present their tickets at the door. And don’t worry, association President Jan Ellis said memberships can be purchased at the door.
“A one-time fee of $10 for students, $40 for adults and $85 for a family will get you into all the concerts,” she said. “This is an amazing deal for quality live entertainment.”
Other concerts featured in Weston County’s lineup include the New Odyssey Guy on Nov. 20, The Chipper Experience on March 27 and Braden & James on April 28.
In addition to the local concert, members will be able to attend concerts in South Dakota in both Belle Fourche and Hot Springs at no additional charge. Members will also be able to attend shows in Rapid City, although they will cost an additional $15 on top of presenting their ticket for the Weston County Concert Association series.
