LAS VEGAS (Dec. 15, 2025) – Wyoming swimming enjoyed a personal best heavy night and won three events on day one of the UNLV Invitational, Monday.

“We had several PRs in new events for our team today,” said head coach Dave Denniston. “The stress of finals is apparent, but our team energy and enthusiasm have been great.”

COWGIRLS

The first event in the finals slate of day one saw the Cowgirls pick up a first-place finish. In the 200-yard freestyle relay, the crew of freshman Raiden Harris, freshman Ella Lesnever, senior Veronika Ozimek and junior Tara Joyce swam a season-best time of 1:31.59.

In the prelims of the 50-yard freestyle, Joyce would set a personal-best time of 22.35 for first, good to improve her No. 2 time in program history. In the final, Harris took third with a time of 22.81.

The top Cowgirl in the 200-yard IM was junior Tessa Bendokas with a time of 2:06.90 for seventh overall. She would also swim a time of 2:05.53 in the prelim, a personal best.

Sophomore Avery True would lead Wyoming in the 500-yard freestyle, finishing eighth with a time of 5:05.03.

Cowgirls finished 10th in the 400-yard medley relay with the team of Harris, sophomore Abigail Bruss, senior Anna Roesler and freshman Isabelle Henderson touching the wall at 3:50.72
