Wyoming Highway Patrol Announces Citizen Connect Site, Ringing In New Era of Data Transparency

[Cheyenne, WY] — June 4, 2026

The Wyoming Highway Patrol is entering a new era of data transparency with the Wyoming public. WHP has launched a new page to their website called Citizen Connect. The new program, linked via the WHP website, allows citizens to look up WHP incidents, trends, and cases across Wyoming.

The new site allows for data to be searched and seen with ease. In the past, as an example, looking up past DUI incidents over the last year would have required a public records request. Now, with Citizen Connect, the public can simply use the link on the WHP website to enter the program and begin looking for the data themselves. The data can be found by date, location, incident type, etc. No Personal Identifying Information (PII) is shared on the page. The data can be looked at by number of incidents, heat map, or choropleth map.

The launch of Citizen Connect is a part of WHP’s dedication to transparency with the citizens of Wyoming. The program begins an era of unprecedented transparency in the history of the Wyoming Highway Patrol.
