Worland man killed in rollover accident

WORLAND (WNE) — A 20-year-old Worland man was killed in a one-vehicle rollover Sunday. 

According to Wyoming Highway Patrol Public Information Officer Aaron Brown,at approximately 2:24 p.m., the WHP was alerted to a single-vehicle crash on Washakie County Road 10, northeast of Worland. 

Troopers found a 1993 Honda Accord was northbound on CR 10 when the car left the road to the right. The driver, who was identified as Tanner Wolfe, 20, of Worland, corrected back onto the road, then overcorrected back to the right, leaving the roadway in a counter-clockwise manner. 

The Accord then entered a small ditch, beginning a driver-side slide into a gas meter, colliding with the meter and the metal protection around it. It then rolled, continuing to spin, and came to rest on its wheels in a driveway. 

Wolfe was partially ejected from the vehicle and died at the scene. He was not wearing his seatbelt. 

Speed and driver inattention are being investigated as primary factors in the crash. 

This fatality brings the number of deaths on Wyoming roadways to 83 on the year, compared to 73 in 2024, and 104 in 2023.
