Woman found dead in vehicle in downtown Torrington 

TORRINGTON (WNE) — A woman was found dead inside a vehicle parked on Main Street in Torrington Thursday evening, according to the Goshen County Coroner’s Office and Torrington Police Department.

Torrington EMS received a call at approximately 7:30 p.m. reporting an unresponsive female inside a vehicle parked in the 1900 block of Main Street, Goshen County Coroner Darin Yates said. EMS personnel arrived shortly after and pronounced the woman deceased at the scene.

“No foul play was found,” Yates said. “It was investigated by the Goshen County Coroner’s Of- fice and the Torrington Police Department.”

Yates said the woman’s name is not being released at this time because not all family members have been notified. He added that the woman had multiple medical conditions, and he certified the death as due to natural causes.
