Weston County Natural Resource District Budget Hearing 2025

PUBLIC NOTICE

Notice is hereby given that a public hearing on the proposed budget for the Weston County Natural Resource District for the 2025-2026 fiscal year ending June 30, 2026, which is being considered by the Board of Supervisors, will be held July 8, 2025, at 3:00 p.m. at the Weston County Natural Resource District office, Newcastle, Wyoming, at which time any persons interested may appear and be heard respecting such budget. The Board’s regular business meeting will be held immediately after the budget hearing.

The following budget will be reviewed:

Estimated Cash on Hand – 7/1/2025 $ 70,000 

Estimated Emergency Reserve – 7/1/2025 $132,174 

Projected Revenue: (Includes Estimated Cash on Hand) $70,000

Anticipated Cash and Revenue (State grants, Unanticipated revenue, Sales Tax) $111,223

Mill Levy Requested $155,000 

Total Projected Revenue: $336,223

Projected Expenditures:

Administrative Budget (Coordinator, Office supplies, Postage, Travel, Training) $66,880 

Operations Budget (Education, Forestry, Wildlife, Water Quality, etc.)* $224,843 

Indirect Costs Budget (Insurance, Payroll taxes, Worker’s comp.) $44,500

Total Projected Expenditures: $336,223 

*This includes carry-over funds for committed projects and grants
