Deb Carr, owner of WC Sports & Western Wear, has been in business since 1992. Carr and her late husband began serving the Newcastle area in April 2011. Through the years she has delighted in providing holiday fun and children’s activities for Halloween and Christmas.

WC Sports & Western Wear has hundreds of prom gowns to choose from for any formal event, and also rents tuxes. According to Deb, one of her most popular and requested items is official NFL memorabilia. WC Sports carries all of your favorite team ball caps, scarves, and team glassware. She also carries hand-crafted candles, made in the U.S.A., from Thompson’s Candle Company.

The store was expanded in 2015 to include western wear. You can find items from Cowgirl Tuff, Cinch, and Tony Lama boots, as well as cowboy hats, belts, and belt buckles. There are boots and slippers for every member of the family. You can also pick up work boots, FR jeans and shirts for the hard-working man or woman in your life. The store features gifts for all ages, and the women’s clothing line is continually expanding.

Carr has always been proud to provide you with big-city inventory at hometown prices. She knows that her store is blessed by the local community and encourages everyone to stop in and see what she has to offer. The store is open Monday – Friday from 10 a.m. – 6 p.m., and seasonally on Saturdays from 10 a.m. – 3 p.m.
