CASPER (WNE) — The two people who died from the Friday night shooting in the 500 block of CY Avenue were identified by the Natrona County Coroner’s office on Monday.

They were Janet Goodrum, 74, of Northglenn, Colo., and Blaine Ferro, 53, of Casper.

Initial police findings indicated officers responded to the scene at around 6 p.m. after a woman reported her ex-boyfriend, Ferro, had shot her mother, Goodrum, then turned the gun and shot himself.

Officers found the pair “with apparent gunshot wounds consistent with the caller’s statements,” authorities said.

Goodrum and Ferro were taken to Banner Wyoming Medical Center, where they were later pronounced dead.

Police have not released further details about the incident citing an open investigation.

Authorities are asking anyone with information to contact Casper Police at 307-235-8278.
