Two 20-somethings LifeFlighted following Lyman incident

EVANSTON (WNE) — During the late morning of Tuesday, Dec. 16, the Lyman Police Department, in addition to personnel from the Uinta County Sheriff’s Office and Bridger Valley Ambulance, responded to reports of two individuals with critical injuries in the vicinity of the 200 block of South Main Street in Lyman. 

According to a press release from the LPD, law enforcement agencies determined that the event was criminal in nature.

“At this time, there is no danger to the community,” the release stated. “We believe this is an isolated incident.”

The Herald reached out to the LPD Chief Tom Shroyer and, as of press time, Shroyer said there was no additional information and the investigation into the matter is ongoing. Shroyer also declined to identify the individuals involved.

Uinta County Fire and Ambulance Chief Eric Quinney confirmed some details of the incident.

“We transported two patients to Evanston Regional Hospital in critical condition. They were then LifeFlighted to a trauma facility in Salt Lake City,” Quinney said. He also confirmed that one patient was a female and the other a male, both in their early 20s.
