TRAVIS EARL LYNCH
April 22, 1991–July 15, 2026
Travis Earl Lynch, 35, passed away unexpectedly of natural causes and was welcomed into the arms of Jesus on July 15, 2026.
Born on April 22, 1991, in Casper, Wyoming, to Troy and Janeice Lynch, Travis lived a life marked by kindness, laughter, hard work, and an enduring love for family, friends, animals, and the cowboy way of life.
Travis was a proud Trojan, graduating from Kelly Walsh High School in 2009. During his high school years, he excelled in athletics, playing nose guard and defensive tackle for the Kelly Walsh football team and earning third place in the Wyoming State Wrestling Tournament in the heavyweight division for two consecutive years. His passion for caring for animals led him to pursue a career in veterinary technician medicine. He graduated from Bel-Rea Institute of Animal Technology in Aurora, Colorado, in 2018.
Known by many as a gentle giant, Travis had a gift for making people feel welcome. With his infectious laugh, upbeat personality, charming spirit, and signature “Hey!” greeting, he never met a stranger. He was generous with his time, quick to offer a helping hand, and famous for the big bear hugs that made everyone feel loved.
A true cowboy at heart, Travis found his greatest joy in the saddle, often riding with his faithful dog, Dawg, by his side. He worked as a ranch hand and was a skilled horseman who was happiest outdoors. He grew up hunting alongside his father, brother, and grandfather and especially treasured hunting antelope on the family ranch near Newcastle, Wyoming. His connection to animals was remarkable and evident to all who knew him. His compassion and care for them brought countless moments of joy, laughter, and admiration.
Family meant everything to Travis. He deeply loved being an uncle to his nephew, Trenton, and niece, Paisley. He enjoyed teaching his cousins’ children the art of roping and had a special place in his heart for children of all ages. Many will fondly remember the year he played Santa Claus in Oshoto, Wyoming, bringing smiles and holiday cheer to the community.
Travis had a unique ability to bring people together, make them feel accepted, and remind them not to take life too seriously. He filled every gathering with laughter and warmth and left a lasting impression on everyone fortunate enough to know him. God gained a great cowboy when He called Travis home.
Travis is survived by his parents, Troy and Janeice Lynch; his brother, Tyler Lynch and wife Keshia; his beloved nephew and niece, Trenton and Paisley; and his grandfather, Patt Lynch, all of whom reside on the family ranch near Newcastle. He is also survived by numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, and dear friends.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Karen Lynch, Vern Landes, and Una Belle Landes.
A celebration of Travis’ life will be held on Thursday, July 23, at 2 p.m. at Prince of Peace Lutheran Church, 2300 East 15th Street, Casper, Wyoming 82609.
Though our hearts are heavy with his passing, we take comfort knowing that Travis is once again riding wide-open country, surrounded by the peace and glory of his Heavenly Father. His laughter, kindness, and cowboy spirit will live on in the hearts of all who loved him.
