Track & Field Opens Season Hosting Power Meet, Distance at BU

LARAMIE, Wyo. (Dec. 5, 2025) – Wyoming track & field looks to open its 2025-26 indoor season by hosting the Power Meet in Laramie, Wyo., and sending 10 distance runners to the BU Sharon Colyear-Danville Season Opener in Boston, Mass., Saturday.

Men’s 5,000-meter:               5:15 p.m. – Heat 1

                                                    5:29 p.m. – Heat 2

Wyoming will host three other local programs, Air Force, Colorado State and South Dakota School of Mines, at the Power Meet. The meet will begin with field events, starting with the weight throw at 11 a.m., highlighted by former Cowboy Daniel Reynolds, the 2025 NCAA weight throw champion. Track events will begin at 1:30 p.m. with the 600-yard run.

In Boston, Wyoming will send its top distance runner for the prestigious meet at BU. On the women’s side, junior Hailey Uhre, junior Eowyn Dalbec, senior Marina Trave, senior Rozlyn Slichko, sophomore Muriel Jones and sophomore Brionna Holso will race in the four heats of the 5,000 meters starting at 3:59 p.m. MT. 

On the men’s side, seniors Jacob White, Ryker Holtzen, Dylan van der Hock and Mac Zastrow will take part in four heats of the 5,000 meters, with heat one starting at 5:15 p.m. MT.
