Teton County Scholarship Program breaks another record – $1.37 million for students

JACKSON (WNE) —  The Teton County Scholarship Program continues to break records.

High school seniors received more than $1.37 million in scholarships from community donors Tuesday night. Last year, close to $1.2 million was awarded.

One hundred and fifty-one students in the Class of 2026 applied for 77 scholarships. In total, 220 individual awards were given out. The awards celebrate student achievements ranging from academics to athletics to community service to resilience in the face of adversity.

“For over 50 years, the Teton County Scholarship Program has showcased the power of community investment, with foundations, local organizations, and individual donors coming together to support the next generation,” Ginny Stradley Meagher, Education Foundation of Jackson Hole’s executive director, said in a press release. “These scholarships are not just financial awards; they represent a shared commitment to our students and to the future of Teton County.”

She said her organization was “proud to help channel that investment into meaningful opportunities that will have a lasting impact on both our students and our community.”

The program is administered by the Education Foundation of Jackson Hole, formerly known as the Fund for Public Education, in partnership with Teton County School District 1.
