JACKSON (WNE) — Yellowstone National Park’s north and west entrances are set to open on Friday.

That means visitors looking to peek at the park’s geysers and wildlife from Gardiner and West Yellowstone, Montana, will be able to do so this week.

Visitors looking to enter Yellowstone from Cody via the entrance are scheduled to be able to do so on May 1.

Visitors looking to enter the park from the south entrance, the most popular way to enter Yellowstone from Teton County, will have to wait longer.

The south entrance just north of Flagg Ranch is slated to be the last Yellowstone gate to open. It isn’t scheduled to open its gates until May 8.

In Grand Teton National Park, the Teton Park Road is plowed but is set to remain closed to vehicles until May 1.
