Rock Springs shooting leaves one man injured

ROCK SPRINGS (WNE) — A man was shot in North Rock Springs recently and had to be flown to a medical facility for further treatment.

According to a Monday, June 23 press release from the Sweetwater County Sheriff ’s Office, at around 5:45 p.m. on Saturday, June 21, SCSO deputies responded to a shooting in the 600 block of Antelope Drive, north of Rock Springs.

Deputies found an adult male with a gunshot wound. Medics transported him to a local hospital before airlifting him for further treatment.

Sheriff ’s detectives are investigating. Preliminary evidence suggests the shooting occurred inside a residence during a possible disturbance between family members.

No arrests have been made. Authorities are withholding the identities of those involved and additional details pending the ongoing investigation.
