The rainbow

To the editor:
The rainbow is misunderstood by many today. It was and is the idea and creation of the God of the Bible, who spoke everything into existence to begin with.
The rainbow was the later creation of God after the great flood involving Noah, as recorded in the book of Genesis. It was and is the promise and ongoing covenant with humans and all of creation, that our loving God would never again destroy the entire world by the waters of a flood.
You can read this account for yourself in the first book of the Bible, Chapters 6 through 9.
The rainbow is God’s covenant and promise to all of us.
