Pokes Wrap Up Road Swing with Contest at Boise State

LARAMIE, Wyo. (Feb. 22, 2026) – The Wyoming Cowboys wrap up their two-game road swing on Tuesday with a trip to Boise State for a 7 p.m. start against the Broncos inside ExtraMile Arena. It will mark the 43rd all-time meeting between the teams with the contest being streamed on the MW Network.

Fans can watch, listen to the contest, as well as follow stats on GoWyo.com. The game will be broadcast live on radio over the 26 affiliate stations of the Cowboy Sports Network with Keith Kelley on the call and Kevin McKinney on Color.

About The Teams

Wyoming heads into the contest with a 15-12 overall record and a 6-10 mark in conference play after defeating Grand Canyon 70-65 on the road on Saturday. The Pokes average 77.7 points per game this season and allow 73.2 per night. Wyoming is averaging only 70.7 points per game in conference play. The Pokes are grabbing 36 rebounds per game this season to rank third in the conference. The Cowboys are grabbing just over 12 offensive rebounds per game, which leads the MW.  Wyoming is hitting 8.4 three pointers per game for the season and are shooting 33 percent from behind the arc.

The Broncos head into the game with a 16-11 overall record and an 8-8 mark in conference play after defeating San Jose State at home on Saturday. Boise State is averaging 78.6 points per game and allow 74.4 per night. The Broncos are shooting 45 percent from the field and opponents are shooting 46 percent. Boise State shoots 35 percent from behind the arc with 8.4 makes per game. The Broncos add 35.6 rebounds per game and are +6.1 on the boards this season.

About The Players

Wyoming is led in scoring this season by Leland Walker at 14.5 points per game for ninth in the MW. He also adds a team-high 3.6 assists per game, which ranks seventh in the conference.  Nasir (Naz) Meyer adds 13.1 points per game this season and adds 4.6 rebounds per game for second on the team.  Khaden Bennett adds 10.3 points per game and owns the team lead with 5.2 rebounds per night. He has scored in double-figures in five of his last six games. Damarion Dennis adds 10.1 points per game for the season and is shooting 51 percent from the field.

Boise State is led in scoring by Drew Fielder at 14.3 points per game with a team-high 5.5 rebounds per game. He is shooting 54 percent from the field. Dylan Andrews adds 12.1 points per game and has a team-high 93 helpers. Andrew Meadows adds 11.9 points per game and 3.4 rebounds.

 

About The Series

The Cowboys trail the Broncos 27-15 in the series, which dates back to 1979. The Pokes are 4-13 all-time in Boise. The Broncos took the first meeting this season by a score of 81-65 in Laramie on Jan. 20.

Up Next

The Cowboys return to the Arena-Auditorium on Saturday hosting Air Force at 2 p.m. It is the first game of a two game homestand for the final home contests of the season.
