Invitation extended

To the Editor:

On Sunday, Nov. 9, First United Methodist Church invites you to come as you are and to discover a moment of peace, joy, and renewal during our Invitation Sunday celebration. Our theme, “Christ-Centered Worship in the Center of the Community,” reminds us that faith is best lived together, where Christ meets us in the heart of daily life.

Guided by our mission, “Passion for Christ, Compassion for All,” Invitation Sundays feature special music, and a community luncheon following worship. It is a time for all ages to gather, reconnect, and breathe deeply in God’s presence.

Invitation Sunday is not just a one-time event; it is part of our ongoing rhythm of hospitality. Every month with five Sundays, we will open our doors in a special way to welcome friends, neighbors, co-workers, and anyone seeking a place to belong. These gatherings will be on the second Sunday of the month and will offer a sacred pause, a space to rest, a way to let go of the week’s worries, and to find peace in the sabbath moment.

Here at First United Methodist Church, the Holy Spirit shapes our lives with compassion and hope, and there is always room for you.

Our next gathering is Nov. 9 at 10 a.m. The address is 23 N. Seneca Ave., Newcastle, WY 82701.
