Historic Broadway Theater to host exclusive paranormal investigation
ROCK SPRINGS (WNE) — The Broadway Theater, a cultural landmark in Rock Springs, will open its doors for a rare nighttime paranormal investigation at 8 p.m. on Friday, March 27.
In partnership with Stellar Paranormal, the event invites the public to explore the building’s storied past and investigate long-standing reports of unexplained activity.
Originally opened on Christmas Day in 1948 as the West Theater, the venue served as a cornerstone of local entertainment for nearly three decades. Following a significant revitalization effort by the city of Rock Springs and the Wyoming Business Council, the theater was restored and reopened in 2011.
Despite its modern success as a performing arts hub, the theater maintains a reputation for the supernatural. Investigators and staff have documented unusual phenomena, including unexplained noises and visual sightings, particularly in areas once central to the original 1940s movie house.
The upcoming event offers a hands-on approach to paranormal research. Participants will receive the following:
- technical training: Instruction on specialized equipment, including EMF meters, spirit boxes, and thermal cameras.
- behind-the-scenes access: Entry into restricted areas of the theater typically closed to the general public.
- evidence collection: The opportunity to assist investigators in real-time data gathering and communication attempts.
Tickets for the investigation are $25 for general admission. Due to the nature of the event, attendance is limited to individuals ages 16 and older. Tickets are available online at broadwayrs.com.
