Gray sends data to county clerks for voter list maintenance

CHEYENNE (WNE) — Wyoming Secretary of State Chuck Gray on Thursday sent 2,018 voter records matching individuals who have obtained driver’s licenses in another state to Wyoming’s 23 county clerks for review and removal from Wyoming’s Statewide Voter Registry System in accordance with Wyoming law, a news release from Gray’s office said.
House Enrolled Act 62 from the 2025 legislative session provides authority to the Secretary of State’s Office to obtain information that the Wyoming Department of Transportation has received from other states when an individual on the voter registration list has obtained a driver’s license from another state, indicating they may have moved out of the state of Wyoming.
Gray said in the release, “Voter list maintenance is a key priority of my Secretary of State administration. As Wyoming’s chief election official, we’re working very hard to ensure that Wyoming’s voter rolls are the cleanest in the nation.
“Voter list maintenance was a key plank of our conservative election integrity reform agenda that we worked to pass through the Wyoming Legislature earlier this year, and I’m proud of our work to pass and implement these common-sense statutory changes that enhance our voter list maintenance procedures. ”
