Former WHCC employee promoted
Bob Harty, who began his career with the Wyoming Department of Corrections in Newcastle at the Wyoming Honor Conservation Camp, has been promoted to a warden’s position at a WDOC facility in Niobrara County.
According to a June 26 release from the department, Harty has been promoted from associate warden to warden of the Wyoming Women’s Center in Lusk, effective Aug. 4.
“Throughout his time with the WDOC, AW Harty has served in several roles at various facilities, including case worker, case team lead and unit manager,” the release says. “In 2022, Mr. Harty transitioned into the role of associate warden of the WWC. AW Harty has a Bachelor’s of Business Administration from Memphis State University.”
“I am confident that AW Harty will continue to lead with the same integrity, professionalism and dedication he has demonstrated throughout this career,” Director Daniel Shanon said when asked for the press release. “His understanding of our facility operations, and commitment to the mission of the WDOC make him well-suited for this role. We look forward to the leadership he will bring as warden of the WWC.”
