DIANE MAE BROWN: Feb. 18, 1944–Oct. 28, 2025

Diane Mae Brown passed away on Oct. 28, 2025.

She was born on Feb. 18, 1944, in Baldwin, Wisconsin, to Joyce and Andrew Tubbs, and was the eldest of eight children.

From an early age, Diane carried a strong sense of responsibility and care for others — qualities that defined her throughout her life.

In 1960, she married Delven Brown, and together they raised three children.

In 1979, Diane and Delven moved from Wisconsin to Wyoming, where they built a life rooted in family, hard work, and the quiet joys of country living.

Diane enjoyed road trips, visiting friends and family, camping, fishing, and spending time playing board games and card games. She loved working with her hands and found joy in being creative — whether making quilts and blankets, creating ceramics, or baking her grandkids’ or great-grandkids’ favorite cookies. She was witty and quick‑humored, with a sharp mind and a great laugh and smile.

Diane devoted more than 30 years of service as a certified nursing assistant at Weston County Manor. She was named Wyoming’s CNA of the year in 1991. She was known for her compassion, reliability, and genuine concern for those in her care. Caring for others was not just her profession, it was central to who she was.

Diane was preceded in death by her husband, Delven Brown; her parents, Joyce and Andrew Tubbs; her brothers, Kenneth Tubbs and Donald Tubbs; her sister, Penny Christophersen; her son, Kelly Brown; and her daughter, Sheila Brown.

Diane is survived by her daughter, Holly Dempsey, along with several grandchildren, great‑grandchildren, and great‑great‑grandchildren, who will carry forward her legacy of caring, love, and strength.

A Celebration of Life service will be held on April 25, at 1 p.m. at the VFW, 2990 W. Main Street, Newcastle, WY 82701.
