DARLENE RUTH DeFORD

March 13, 1941–June 9, 2026

Darlene Ruth DeFord of Umatilla, Oregon, was born March 13, 1941, in Demopolis, Alabama, the daughter of Charles and Dorothy (Larson) McDonald. She passed in Richland, Washington, on June 9, 2026, at the age of 85 years.

 Darlene had an adventurous spirit and had lived in many places throughout the United States during her lifetime. She had resided in Newcastle, Wyoming, for eight of the last 15 years. She has lived in Umatilla for the past six years.

Darlene loved sewing and spending time with her family.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Leslie DeFord; son, Larry Wing; both of her parents; and all three of her brothers.

She is survived by her children, James Wing, Mark and wife Julie Wing, Skip Wing, Susan and her husband Roger Gay, and Brenda and her husband Stevan Hintz; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and a very special friend, Billy Quick.

A private family Celebration of Life will be held.
