Cowboys to Face TCU in Exhibition in Midland, Texas

Contest set for October 17

LARAMIE, Wyo.  (August 10, 2026) – The Cowboys will face off against TCU in an exhibition contest on October 17 at Midland College. The contest is slated for a 2 p.m. local start and will take place at the AI G. Langford Chaparral Center on the campus of Midland College. The game will be free for all fans to attend.

“It is a great opportunity for us and we will be playing a high major opponent to test us early,” UW head coach Sundance Wicks said. “To go down and play in Midland, I know we have some Pokes fans that represent the Brown and Gold in Texas. It will be a chance for us to get some experienced against a well-coached team in TCU.”

The former conference rivals last meeting also came on a neutral floor when the two teams met in 2019 in Las Vegas at T-Mobile Arena and the two teams have played each other 21 times.
