Convicted child molester on parole now facing multiple counts of sexual exploitation of children
CASPER (WNE) — An Evansville man now faces felony charges for sexual exploitation of children that authorities say began less than a month after he was paroled while serving time for sexual abuse of a minor.
Jacob Andrew Dudley, 26, has been charged with 22 counts relating to possession of child sexual abuse material.
He was in prison on a four-to-10-year sentence for one count each of second- and third-degree sexual abuse of a minor, possession of a controlled substance and possession with intent to deliver. Per the plea deal, prosecutors dropped five other counts, and Dudley ultimately served four years of a possible 20-year maximum sentence.
Dudley was paroled in December of 2024.
Authorities said they received tips from the messaging service Kik for uploads that began around Jan. 1, 2024.
Kik reported CyberTips to the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children that included user information, the suspected child sexual abuse media and an IP address.
The IP provided by Kik in its reports matched Dudley's known Evansville residence, where he lived with his parents.
Authorities said all CyberTips contained child porn that was uploaded from the same Evansville IP address.
According to court papers, the accounts included device information that aligned with phones investigators said they found in Dudley’s home. One of the phones had recently logged into an account that Kik had reported to authorities.
On those devices, the Wyoming Division of Criminal Investigation agent who filed the affidavit said authorities found more than 300 photo and video files. All of it, he wrote, was pornography. The majority of the content included children, with the victims ranging from “toddler age” to “pubescent.” On those accounts, he also described re-assaulting his previous victim while she slept.
Dudley’s next court date will likely be his arraignment, which had not been scheduled as of Thursday.
