Talent in Spades
On May 12, families, friends, and neighbors packed the Crouch Auditorium to watch the 17th annual Newcastle Elementary School Talent Show. The show featured music, jokes and dancing. Fifth-graders Bella Bond and Chevy Bryan perform the song “Cups” with four of their friends. The song, made famous by the movie “Pitch Perfect,” featured cups for percussion. Treyden Purviance entertained the crowd with his quirky humor and teacher “roasts,” performing as a stand-up comedian during the annual talent show. Isabelle Stillabower wowed the crowd with her energy and stage presence during her performance with two of her friends. Kayla Oleson and Payton Overman were two of five singers performing the song “We Don’t Talk About Bruno,” made famous by the Disney film “Encanto."
