Staff for U.S. Senator Cynthia Lummis will hold remote office hours to meet with constituents in Weston County on Aug. 13, according to an Aug. 4 release.

When asked about the structure of the meetings, Katie Warbinton, communication director for Lummis’s office, said the format is all about serving the people of the state.

“Our team is here to serve the people of Wyoming, and our flexible office hours give constituents personalized, one-on-one access to our staff to discuss casework, to showcase a new business or discuss policy matters,” she said. “These appointments can be a comprehensive two-hour casework session in the office or something as informal as a brief conversation over coffee.”

Warbinton noted that there is no rigid format or agenda to the meetings, and that each meeting is tailored to the needs and priorities of the individual scheduling the meeting.

According to the release, field representative Ally Garner will be available to meet with residents and hear ideas, comments and concerns about what is happening in the U.S. Senate. She will also help anyone having trouble working with a federal agency.

“Ally works directly with constituents to schedule appointments and we encourage people to reach out to her to set up a time that works best with their schedule,” Warbinton said.

“My team and I are working every day to make sure the federal government works for the people of Wyoming,” Lummis said. “Whether you need help interacting with a federal agency, facilitating a passport or visa request, tracking down Social Security checks or VA benefits, or you just want to ensure your voice is being heard in Washington, my team of field representatives is available to meet with you. These remote office hours will bring my office closer to the people we are here to serve, and I hope they will foster good conversations and provide necessary help to ensure that the people of Wyoming can better navigate the complexities of the federal government.”

Those wishing to schedule a time should contact Garner at 307-261-6572 or at ally_garner@lummis.senate.gov.
