Capitol news update from Wyoming Division of Criminal Investigation

SHERIDAN (WNE) — Following the public request for information, the two subjects of interest seen in surveillance video have been successfully identified and contacted by the Wyoming Division of Criminal Investigation regarding a suspicious object discovered outside the state Capitol Oct. 21. 

Residents and businesses came forward to DCI with identities, information, images and recordings of suspicious activity during the early morning hours of Oct. 21. 

Public cooperation was vital to advancing this investigation, DCI said in a press release. Based on the investigation to date, DCI assured the public there appears to be no continuing threat to the public. The investigation into the matter is ongoing and further information will not be available until the conclusion of the investigation.
