Brody Knowlton Honored as Mountain West Conference Freshman Golfer of the Week

LARAMIE, Wyoming (2/26/26) – Brody Knowlton paced the University of Wyoming men’s golf team to a top-third finish at the Wyoming Desert Intercollegiate. As a result, he was recognized as the Mountain West Conference Freshman Golfer of the Week.
Knowlton got off to a fast start in Palm Desert, California. He matched a career-best 67 (-5) in the opening round and closed with rounds of 70 (-2) and 74 (+2). Knowlton holed 17 birdies en route to tying for 13th, which helped the Cowboys place seventh as a team. He’s now won the Freshman of the Week honor following both spring tournaments this season.
Wyoming takes a week off before teeing it up at the Lamkin San Diego Classic. That runs from March 9-10.
