Afton police investigating after two bodies found in residence

AFTON (WNE) — The Afton Police Department is investigating the circumstances that resulted in the deaths of two people found inside a local residence.

Police Chief Jason Romberg told SVI that at roughly 11:30 a.m. on Tuesday, March 18, both APD and the Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office responded to a report of a missing person in the 100 block area of Adams St.

“Upon entering the residence, officers found two deceased individuals inside,” stated Chief Romberg. “As this investigation is still in its infancy, there is no further information that we can release at this time.”

Romberg stressed that there is no threat to the public, nor was there a public threat at any time.
