City invites county to dispatch talk on Wednesday

The Newcastle City Council will be holding another public meeting to discuss dispatch operations in Newcastle and Weston County on April 12 at 5 p.m. in the city council chambers located at 10 W. Warwick. 

On April 4, Mayor Pam Gualtieri attended the Board of Weston County Commissioners meeting to personally invite the commissioners to attend the meeting. 

On April 11, Commissioner Don Taylor informed the News Letter Journal that at least three commissioners would be attending the meeting as individuals. He noted that himself, Commissioner Garrett Borton and Commissioner Vera Huber would be in attendance and that he was unsure about the other two commissioners, Chairman Ed Wagoner and Nathan Todd. 

The News Letter Journal intends to livestream the meeting on photojournalist Walter Sprague’s Facebook page and the recording of the meeting will be available on the News Letter Journal’s YouTube channel later this week.
