Average gas prices drop 4.2 cents a gallon in Wyoming in past week

CHEYENNE (WNE) — Average gasoline prices in Wyoming have fallen 4.2 cents per gallon in the last week, averaging $4.28 per gallon Monday, according to GasBuddy.com’s survey of 494 stations in Wyoming.

Prices in Wyoming are 21.4 cents per gallon higher than a month ago, and stand $1.23 per gallon higher than a year ago. The national average price of diesel has decreased 1.4 cents compared to a week ago, and stands at $5.570 per gallon.

According to GasBuddy price reports, the lowest price in the state Sunday was $3.88, while the highest was $5.14, a difference of $1.26 per gallon.

The national average price of gasoline has fallen 3.2 cents per gallon in the last week, averaging $4.01 per gallon Monday. The national average is down 7.3 cents per gallon from a month ago, and stands 86.2 cents per gallon higher than a year ago, according to GasBuddy data compiled from more than 11 million weekly price reports covering over 150,000 gas stations across the country.

• Fort Collins, Colorado — $4.25, down 16.1 cents per gallon from last week’s $4.41.
• Ogden, Utah — $4.29, up 2.6 cents per gallon from last week’s $4.26.
• Billings, Montana — $4.27, down 5.8 cents per gallon from last week’s $4.33.
