Deb and her late husband, Tim Carr, owners of WC Sports & Western Wear, have been in business since 1993. The Carrs began serving the Newcastle area in April 2011. Through the years the Carrs have delighted in providing holiday fun and children’s activities for Halloween and Christmas. 

WC Sports & Western Wear has hundreds of prom gowns to choose from, and for any formal event, and also rents tuxes. According to Deb, one of their most popular and requested items is official NFL memorabilia. WC Sports carries all of your favorite team ball caps, scarves, and team glassware. Deb also carries hand-crafted candles, made in the U.S.A., from Thompson’s Candle Company.

The store was expanded in 2015 to include western wear. You can find  items from Cowgirl Tuff, Cinch, and Tony Lama boots, as well as cowboy hats, belts, and belt buckles. There are boots and slippers for every member of the family. You can also pick up work boots, FR jeans and shirts for the hard-working man or woman in your life. The store features gifts for all ages, and the women’s clothing line is continually expanding.

The store is open Monday-Friday from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., Thursday from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m., and Saturday from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.
