Glen Raymond Blakeley was born Oct. 18, 1931, in Newcastle, Wyo., to Preston M. and Freda M. (Wing) Blakeley. He entered into eternal rest on Dec. 30, 2022, in Casper, Wyo., following a short illness.
Glen lived in many communities including Edgemont, S.D., Sturgis, S.D., Newcastle, and finally settling in Glenrock, Wyo., in 1971, until he and Freda entered into assisted living in Casper in 2018.
Glen is survived by his two sons, Richard (Cheryl), Scott (Shari); daughter, Lea Ann Carr; sisters, Norma (Wilbur) Lease, Bonnie (Verne) Meyer, and Sandra Marquiss; brother, Bill (Billie) Marquiss; and grandchildren, Shawn Blakeley, Marie Mangold, Nikki (Cole) Ostmiller, Preston (Alecia) Blakeley, Lane (Melanee) Blakeley, Patrick (Valerie) Heiman, and Leslie Heiman Jones, Landon (Sandra) Blakeley, and Parker (Nicole) Blakeley; 12 great-grandchildren; and many nieces, nephews and cousins including Diane Kane of Newcastle. He will be missed by all.
Glen was predeceased by his parents, Preston, Freda and Josie Blakeley; his wife of 68 years, Freda (Benton) Blakeley; oldest son, Robbin; sisters, Beverly Kennedy and Linda Powell; brothers, Howard Blakeley, Fred, and Robby Marquiss.
