Weston County, Wyoming.


  • • A column inch is one column wide (1.827") by one inch high
    • Minimum display advertisement is 4 column inches.
    • Page size is 11.6" wide by 21" tall.
    • We are printed on modern Goss Web press with full color capabilities
    • We enjoy a loyal following with more than a century of editorial leadership, journalistic and advertising excellence.
    • The News Letter Journal is published every Thursday. We are printed Wednesday mornings and 1,000 copies are available on the rack by 2 p.m. that day.
    • The balance of our 2,250 paid circulation is delivered by U.S. Mail, Priority 2nd Class, in most cases by Thursday evening.
    • Every effort is made to provide you advertisement with the page number and placement desired. Preference will be given to 1/4 page ads and larger.
    • No advertising is permitted on the front page or editorial page (Page 2)
    • The publisher reserves the right to refuse any advertising.
    • Proofs are available when requested.

Open (Commissionable) Advertising Rate

$10.80 per column inch

  • &bull Special rates are offered for ads that run 3 (9.50) & 4 ($8.75) weeks in a row, 7 times in a 13-week period ($7.50), and for ads that run 13 times in 13 weeks ($6).
      Ad size must remain the same, content can change.
      Check with a sales representative for specific prices.
    &bull Non-profit rates are available for advertisiers that qualify ($6.00 per col. inch).
    &bull Faith Page rate is $8.25 per week.
    &bull Business Bulletin rates are $8.25 per week for the smaller card and $16.00 per week for the larger card.
    &bull With approved credit, the News Letter Journal bills at the end of each month for all advertising during that month.
    &bull Advertising is due and payable within 10 days of billing.
  • &bull Cancelations are accepted only prior to NOON Mondays.
  • &bull Tear Sheets are provided with invoice for advertisements of 1/8 page or larger.

Classified Advertising:

• Business Rate: $10.80 per column inch (4 lines, approx. 20 words) $2.50 each line thereafter
• Non-commercial Rate: $5 per week for 20 words, .15¢ per word thereafter. 3 weeks for $10 PREPAID

Legal Advertising:

Rate: $13 per column inch

$100 for spot color
(magenta, cyan or process yellow)
In-county: $3.40 per inch for 2x5"
ad or larger. No more than $215.
Non-county: $215 for full or process color

$8 up to 50 words, $15 up to 100 words.
Anything larger than 100 words please speak to
a sales representative about a display ad.

Total Market Coverage:

We will direct mail your insert to every deliverable address in Weston County as part of The Bag, which is mailed every Monday via Third Class Mail in a waterproof bag. Rates are based on number of advertisers.
The Bag has at least 2 to 3 advertising flyers during most weeks

Sole Advertiser: $665.50

1 of 2 Advertisers: $495

1 of 3 or more Advertisers: $385

* Insertion rates for both NLJ and The Bag are based upon our usual total weight. Inserts unusually heavy may place us in a different postal category and therefore a special rate may need to be negotiated.
